Assoc. Prof. Boonsri Chanrachakul, M.D.

Associate Professor Boonsri Chanrachakul, M.D. specializes in maternal and fetal medicine, and is an expert in the field of genetics. He has over 39 years’ worth of experience in providing care and treatment for pregnant women and is involved with no fewer than 150–180 surgeries per year. The doctor holds various certifications in obstetrics and gynecology and furthered his studies in England where he completed a PhD on premature births. His specialties are high-risk pregnancies, preeclampsia, and premature births, the latter of which he is still researching with the aim of finding new ways of preventing premature births in women with high-risk pregnancies using the 3P concept method. Additionally, Dr Boonsri was rewarded for his stellar work with an outstanding achievement award at the BDMS annual meeting 2018, while several of his research papers have been published in international journals. In recognition of the importance of his studies and research, he is now regularly invited to provide lectures, which he has done on more than 46 occasions across a total of 23 years, including at the 1st World Congress on Maternal Fetal Neonatal Medicine (London, England), the 8th annual academic conference of the Thai Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine (Thailand), and ‘Working Together to The Best Maternal and Fetal Health’ at the 10th National Congress in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Furthermore, Dr Boonsri acts as a mentor and teacher to medical students and resident doctors at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. Several of his papers on this area of expertise have been published, with many of his research pieces on the subject of maternal and fetal medicine having been published in publicly available journals.
