Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, in collaboration with SOOK Enterprise by ThaiHealth, has organized activities to prevent falls in the elderly. Led by Ead Lorprayoon, M.D., specialist in orthopedics and sports medicine and Medical Officer of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand, along with a team of geriatric medical professions, the event aimed to provide knowledge on fall prevention, starting with self-assessment of body mass index (BMI) to provide guidance on proper body movement. Demonstrations were conducted on how to prevent injuries caused by falling, and various risks were highlighted, as falls are a common problem among the elderly and can pose serious threats, even resulting in fatality.

Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital is the first hospital in Southeast Asia to receive Geriatrics Emergency Department Accreditation (GEDA) from the U.S.A.
