Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital Welcomes Delegates for the BDMS Green Healthcare 2025 Study Visit

Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital had the honor of hosting a study visit for the BDMS Green Healthcare 2025 initiative, with Nithiwat Gijsriurai, M.D., Director of Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, leading the executive team and the BDMS Green Healthcare 2025 Committee in welcoming the delegates. The study group comprised 53 BDMS personnel, led by Assoc. Prof. Soranit Siltharm, M.D., Chairman of the BDMS Green Healthcare 2025 Committee, on Friday, February 7, 2025.

During the visit, Udom Leelataweewud, M.D., Deputy Director of Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, and Mayuree Thongpan, M.D., Chairperson of the Samitivej Wins Waste project, shared insights into the hospital's Green Healthcare initiatives. The delegation was given a guided tour of key sustainability-focused areas, including green spaces, the wastewater treatment system, the chiller room, and the waste storage area. As part of the visit, the hospital showcased the Samitivej Wins Waste project, which repurposes used bottles and plastics through upcycling, transforming them into essential hospital products such as PPE isolation gowns, employee T-shirts, medical lab coats and formal suit jackets.
