Samitivej is prioritizing cleanliness, safety, and remaining infection free during the COVID-19 pandemic, by preparing all areas of our hospitals to instill the highest level of confidence possible among our service users. Such measures rely on the principles of prevention outlined by the Ministry of Public Health, as follows:

• Screening all customers and hospital staff and reducing entrance/exit points to ensure all are supervised by screening staff and fitted with alcohol gel cleaning stations.
• Using infra-red temperature screening devices to screen for fevers, and separating any patients with a suspect history or at high-risk from other patients by taking them to the ARI clinic, which is separate from the main hospital building.
• Increasing confidence regarding the use of COVID-19 era technologies, such as shoe disinfection devices, antibacterial and antiviral floor mats, UV-C disinfection bulbs used to disinfect surfaces as well as hand rails, and UV-C disinfection equipment capable of reducing germ rates by up to 99.9% in all outpatient rooms, inpatient rooms, operating theaters, and intensive care rooms.
• Utilizing the ‘register anywhere’ system to reduce the time spent in hospital as well as the number of people visiting the hospital, or recommending that patients participate in consultations via Samitivej Virtual Hospital should they not wish to leave their home or be inconvenienced by a hospital visit.
