Samitivej Doctor Honored with Hero Award for Life-Saving CPR on In-Flight Emergency

Phattarapon Atimetin, M.D., a rehabilitation medicine specialist at Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, has been awarded the Health Emergency Response Outstanding Award (Hero Award) for his heroic efforts in saving a passenger’s life by performing CPR during a Thai Airways flight from Singapore.
The award was presented at the 9th National Conference on Emergency Medicine in Local Administration 2025, organized by the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM), on March 13, 2025, at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel.

The Health Emergency Response Outstanding Award (Hero Award) recognizes individuals who embody the spirit of volunteerism, demonstrating dedication and bravery in providing life-saving first aid and emergency assistance, helping patients reach safety.
