Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital and Samitivej Children's Hospital hosts World Breastfeeding Week 2024 promoting breastfeeding to strengthen immunity and raise healthier babies

Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital and Samitivej Children's Hospital jointly promoted breastfeeding during World Breastfeeding Week 2024, under the theme "Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All." The campaign encourages people worldwide to help close gaps, reduce problems and overcome obstacles to support mothers in successfully breastfeeding their children. The event featured a variety of activities, beginning with a beautiful musical performance by Seya Thongchua, daughter of Jeng Thongchua, who was breastfed for a full year. A discussion on the secrets to successful breastfeeding was held with three celebrity mothers: Nirapa “Vicky” Kanarot, Patcharin “Namfon” Wittayapanyanon, and Elizabeth “Liza” Sadler. Awards were presented to mothers who have successfully breastfed their children. The event concluded with Kunjaree “Bella” Jirapaet, founder of the "Lose The Stigma" project, who donated proceeds from the sale of notebooks to Samitivej’s New Life Fund. The event took place on August 6, 2024, at Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital.
