Samitivej Receives the Prestigious "Organization of Value for People with Disabilities" Certificate from the Senate Standing Committee on Social Development and Children, Youth, Women, the Elderly, the Disabled and the Underprivileged Affairs.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Parliament Building, an event was held to honor and recognize organizations that serve as models in promoting, supporting and adding value for people with disabilities, which increases their potential to contribute at a community, societal and national level. Samitivej Public Company Limited was selected by the Sub-Committee on the Disabled Affairs for its various contributions to people with disabilities. Since 2016, the company has continuously supported the employment of people with disabilities under Section 35 of the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act, B.E. 2550 (2007). This includes promoting employment, creating jobs and income for people with disabilities, providing spaces for them to showcase their talents, and hiring services such as "Musical Inspires" from the Network of Music and Arts of Persons with Disabilities (NMAD) to provide social music services at the Foundation for Children with Disabilities and Sri Sangwan School in Nonthaburi, as well as perform music in hospitals. Other promoted activities include relaxation massage services in workplaces and working in sub-district health promoting hospitals, thereby giving people with disabilities opportunities to work, earn an income to support themselves and their families, achieve greater life stability and further develop their potential.
