Bangkok, July 21, 2022 — Surangkana Techapaitoon, M.D., Deputy CEO of Samitivej and BNH Hospitals and Director of Samitivej Children’s Hospital, H.E. Mr. Moon Seoung-hyun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to Thailand, and Mr. Jun Youngchang, Chairman of the Korean Association in Thailand, presided over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on collaborative healthcare for South Korean residents in Thailand and Southeast Asia, mainly mothers and children. Samitivej Children's Hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical services for children, with treatments delivered by more than 200 pediatric specialists. The hospital's broad experience includes care for newborn babies, children's surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and ground and air medical transportation. This collaborative healthcare is implemented in accordance with the international standards of quality. South Korean residents in Thailand will also be offered a variety of privileges with services provided by Samitivej and BNH hospitals. Furthermore, there is a plan to explore future collaborations with hospitals in South Korea aimed at elevating medical care and promoting treatment continuity for South Korean residents living in Thailand.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Sunghee Park, Consul General, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Adinun Kittiratanapaibool, M.D., Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital Director and Ms. Hong Jihee, Vice Chairman of the Korean Association in Thailand. The ceremony took place on July 21, 2022, at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital.
