The types of cancer that develop in children are significantly different to those faced by adults. Therefore, to ensure your child receives the best possible treatment, Samitivej Children’s Hospital’s team of expert pediatric oncologists and other medical specialists such as nurses and pathologists are here to help. Whether your child requires chemotherapy, radiation therapy or a Haploidentical Bone Marrow Transplantation, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
Should your child need to stay in hospital for an extended period of time, we also offer an emotional support program called the ‘Child Life Project’. In collaboration with the Oregon Health & Science University, the initiative has a core focus on companionship, emotional wellbeing and comfort for both children and their families.
Samitivej Children’s Hospital is the largest medical facility providing international standard child healthcare services in Thailand. Over 59,000 international patients from 124 countries are treated here every year and our young international patients have been served by over 50,000 miles of medical aero transportation.
