Assoc. Prof. Objoon Trachoo, MD., PhD., FIBMS is a clinical geneticist who cares for patients and families with inherited conditions. He focuses on using precision medicine to help find accurate diagnoses, guide treatment choices, and support long-term health.

Dr. Objoon graduated with first-class honors from Mahidol University and completed his training in Internal Medicine at Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok. He later earned a PhD focused on developmental biology of neurological systems and sensory ganglion neurons from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine in Thailand and holds a European Diploma in Medical Genetics and Genomics. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science (UK) and an active member of the prestigious British Society of Genetic Medicine.
Before joining Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, Dr. Objoon build a distinguished career in clinical medicine, academic leadership, and biomedical research at renowned institutions, including the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, and VinUniversity, Vietnam, whose medical education program was developed in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Over more than 16 years of academic and clinical practice, he has made significant contributions to the education and development of future healthcare professionals while providing comprehensive patient care and advancing the field through research and innovation. His dedication to excellence in medicine, education and scientific discovery continues to contribute to better health outcomes and the advancement of healthcare for society at large.
In addition, Dr. Objoon is internationally recognized in the field of clinical genetics, and serves on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals, including Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases, BMC Genomics, BMJ Connections Clinical Genetics and Genomics, and Gene Reports.
Dr. Objoon's clinical and research interests encompass hemoglobinopathies, neurodevelopmental disorders, neurogenetics, inherited cardiac conditions, sensory organ disorders, rare and undiagnosed diseases, and fetal and reproductive medicine.

As Director and Clinical Genetics Lead of the Genomic Medicine Center, Dr. Objoon leads a team dedicated to integrating genetics into everyday healthcare.
