Samitivej Hospital received an Ace Gold Level award at the AMCHAM CSR Excellence Awards 2022 from the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand. The award recognizes Samitivej’s commitment to create environmental and social gains in Thai society through the Samitivej New Life Fund project. The award was given on November 22, 2022.   

Throughout the past 12 years, the Samitivej New Life Fund project has provided free treatment to underprivileged child patients.  178 children suffering from congenital heart disease, 8 children requiring bone marrow transplants and 38 children suffering from scoliosis have benefited from the fund. In addition, Samitivej Children’s Hospital has teamed up with the Oregon Health and Science University’s (OHSU) Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, committed to expanding pediatric expertise and  sharing knowledge to reinforce the competency of doctors and medical personnel in the field of pediatric medicine. The award honors Samitivej for its environmental and social ​responsibility and its desire to foster sustainable development.
