Treating wrinkles with cutting-edge innovation

Effective treatment varies according to the types and causes of the wrinkles. However, all treatment shall be administered under the care of specialists because each innovation has different attributes of performance and specializes in different method.

1. Filling substance Injections

Appropriate treatment for wrinkles that are normally caused by certain facial expressions. Filling substance is injected into the small muscles of the face, resulting in a relaxation of the muscles and reducing the wrinkles naturally.

Advantages: The treatment takes effect about a week after the injection. The effects can last for between 3-6 months after each injection.

Expert Tip: The filling substance injection technique is used to preserve the natural look and allow some facial expressions (partial muscle contraction). There is also another injection technique called Superficial Lifting, which is used to restore the facial shape, provide a facial tightening, and improve the contours.

2. Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Appropriate treatment for deep lines or severe wrinkles. This treatment restores the lost volume in the cheeks that causes tired looking skin, and also improves the facial structure to increase the volume for a more youthful look.

Advantages: The treatment produces immediate effects after injection and can last for between 8-12 months without the need for a recovery period. For long-lasting effects, 2-3 treatments per year are required.

Expert Tip: There are varieties of hyaluronic acid fillers used to fill the spaces in the skin. Fillers can also help restore the facial shape and provide a facelift. For the sake of safety, injections should always be administered under the care of specialists only. Also, since the major goal of the treatment is to enhance the esthetics of the patients, a deep understanding of the science and art of dermatology is required in order to design the most appropriate esthetics and preserve the natural look for each individual.

3. Facelift by Laser

Laser treatment helps stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. Some laser treatments can remove outer layers of skin so that newer layers are able to replace them. Some laser treatments are also able to enhance the efficiency of tightening loose skin and improving the facial contours by applying radiofrequency waves to the skin’s deeper layers, fat and SMAS (a thin layer between the fat and muscle layers).

  • Aramis Laser Program

Appropriate treatment for all skin types, and especially effective for patients with thin lines or loose skin or for those just seeking a more youthful look.

Advantages: It uses cold laser technology, allowing patients to relax during treatment. The laser helps stimulate the cells to
produce new collagen to replace naturally lost collagen, thus softening the facial skin, tightening pores, reducing wrinkles, increasing radiance, firming skin and reducing acne inflammations. Makeup can be worn immediately after treatment.

Expert Tip: Several treatment sessions are needed to achieve the best results. For long-lasting effects, treatments are required every 3-4 months. For immediate results, other techniques can also be used in combination with this technique.

  • Fine Scan Program

Appropriate treatment for shallow wrinkles or wrinkles around the eyes, and for rough textured skin.

Advantages: The first treatment produces immediate effects. The skin will be healthier due to the production of collagen and elastin and the replacement of old skin cells with new ones. The effects can last for up to 4-6 weeks.

Expert Tip: After the treatment, the skin will be quite pink, just as if it had been exposed to the sun. This will last for about 2-3 days. Initially, before the old skin cells have been removed, the skin will appear darker for 5-10 days until the old cells are replaced by the new healthier cells.

4. Exelo2 Program (Fractional carbon dioxide laser)

Appropriate treatment for acne scars and rough skin, as well as for tightening the face and reducing wrinkles.

Advantages: The production of new collagen is stimulated to grow new cell tissues. The new skin cells are healthy quickly without destroying neighboring cells, shortening the recovery period to about 5-7 days.

Expert Tip: After the treatment, the facial skin will be dark pink from the heat. Later on, the treated skin area may be darker or light brown in color, or scaly, but this will disappear in 5-7 days. After the treatment, do not scratch off the scabs. Avoid direct sun exposure and thermal heat such as from steam or a sauna for about 2 months so as to prevent any darkening of the skin. After a couple of months, normal activities can be resumed. Follow-up treatments can be taken every 6–12 months.

5. Ideal Reshape Program

Appropriate Treatment for treating wrinkles, large pores, and sagging or droopy face.

Advantages: This treatment combines effective technologies such as intense pulsed light, infrared light, and diode laser with radiofrequency. There are a variety of treatment programs such as the facial radiance program, the collagen stimulation program for treating wrinkles and pores, and the sagging skin program.

Expert Tip: Follow-up treatments are recommended every 6-8 weeks for at least 3-5 times. Due to the variety of available treatment programs, consult with a specialist to determine the program that is most appropriate for your skin type and problem.

What happens after filling substance and filler injections: Some bruising can appear after injections, especially if patients are bleeding easily. The bruises can last for up to 2 weeks but can be easily covered with makeup.

Recommendations: The chance of bruising can be increased by some medications or food supplements, such as aspirin, NSAIDs (Diclofenac, also known as Voltaren among other names), anticoagulant such as Warfarin, food supplements such as Gingko, Omega3 (Fish oil, Krill oil), green tea extract, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Astaxanthin. Avoid these medications and supplements for 1 week prior to treatment.
