Assistant Professor Dr. Chanida Kanchanalarp
ENT specialist and Ear Surgeon graduated since 1971 in Bangkok Certified Board of Otolaryngologist since 1977, Facharztin fur Hals Nasen Ohven since 1980, teaching in University Mahidol since 1982, Cochlear Implant experience since 1995, the first pioneer of multi-channel cochlear implantation in Mahidol University.
Nowadays, In Samitivej Hospital we could help all of the patients who had hearing impairment. From diagnosis, investigation, treatment with surgical and non-surgical include of rehabilitation in all kinds of hearing loss of all adult and children.
Result after cochlear implantation since 1995, the deaf children could go to normal school after one year rehabilitation. The deaf adult from diseases could go back to work after 3 months rehabilitation except congenital deafness in adult must have a very good family support and long time rehabilitation.
